A C C L A M A T I O N

In June of 2010 I began work on what was, at the time, just a silly little fanfic idea I'd picked up from a prompt courtesy of the mkmeme community. Birthed in the pages of notebooks I kept tucked away at my desk at work, Acclamation started as a five chapter projection that had no real ending, even when I expanded upon it. It was the first fic I'd written for the Muse fandom that garnered some level of interest, and the encouragement spurred me on.

The days turned to months as I wrote Acclamation, and by the time Christmas of 2010 passed, I realized that the story had become something of a soul search. The story, which had already bloated in my little notebooks to four parts worth of planning, had a solid beginning, middle, and end hammered out by January of 2011.

My life continued to change at an alarming rate, but Acclamation kept me grounded, and the readers supporting it gave me another life to turn to that was full of beauty, love, and the wonder of words.

Since early 2011 I have planned to launch a rewrite of Acclamation, an edit with the big picture in mind. I still don't know what, exactly, I have in mind for this story. But I invite you along for the process, if you're willing.

I welcome feedback and suggestions, but bear in mind I am still but human and handling me with kid gloves over Acclamation is sometimes suggested (if anyone asks why I haven't pursued publication yet... that's why). My main goal is to share the shiny makeover with readers, to fuel the determination to finish this final draft!

The community is locked, and I apologize for any inconvenience. Feel free to join, but please do not repost chapters elsewhere. I'd like to keep this private amongst readers of Acclamation old and new. For now, at least...
